Beloved,
Grace and peace! As we enter this sacred week, I invite you not just to celebrate Easter but to walk with Jesus through His final week on earth.
Holy Week, also known as Passion Week, carries us from the celebration of Palm Sunday to the victory of Resurrection Sunday. What is powerful is this: a significant portion of the Gospels is dedicated to this one week. It is a week filled with praise and pressure, with intimacy and betrayal, with suffering and surrender, with death and ultimately, resurrection. This week, I invite you to slow down, reflect, pray, and journey with Jesus day by day. As we journey through this week, I invite you to join me in the following scripture reading and reflection schedule.
Holy Week Scripture Journey
Holy Monday – Clearing What Doesn’t Belong
Scripture: Matthew 21:12–17
Jesus cleanses the temple.
Reflection: What needs to be removed from my life so God can dwell fully in me?
Holy Tuesday – Truth That Challenges
Scripture: Matthew 21:23—24:51
Jesus teaches with authority and confronts hypocrisy.
Reflection: Am I open to God’s truth, even when it stretches or corrects me?
Spy Wednesday – The Cost of Betrayal
Scripture: Matthew 26:14–16
Judas agrees to betray Jesus.
Reflection: Are there areas where I am compromising my commitment to Christ?
Maundy Thursday – Love That Serves and Surrenders
Scripture: John 13:1–17; Luke 22:14–23
Jesus washes feet and shares the Last Supper.
Reflection: What does it look like for me to love and serve others like Jesus?
Good Friday – The Weight of the Cross
Scripture: John 19:16–30
Jesus is crucified and declares, “It is finished.”
Reflection: Do I truly understand the cost of my salvation?
Holy Saturday – Waiting in the Silence
Scripture: Matthew 27:62–66
Jesus lies in the tomb.
Reflection: Can I trust God even when He feels silent?
Resurrection Sunday – Victory and New Life
Scripture: Matthew 28:1–10
The tomb is empty. Christ is risen!
Reflection: What in my life needs resurrection?
Keep the faith,

The Reverend Michael Anthony Parker II, M.Div.
